Privacy policy
Last updated October 20, 2026
In short: you can play without an account, and the game never asks for your phone number or address. Your progress is saved on your own device, and also in your account if you choose to sign in. Google ads are shown only if you agree to them.
Who is responsible
Outbound 4K is a hobby project made by two people, Aviv and Hillel, not a company. We are responsible for the game and its data. For any privacy question, write to us at outbound4k@gmail.com.
What is stored on your device
To make the game work, your browser keeps your score, streaks, rank, settings, unlocked ships, which questions you have already seen and your cookie choices in local storage. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can delete it at any time on the Your data screen or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
The answers you type are checked inside the game itself and are never sent to a server.
Playing inside claude.ai
If you open the game as an Artifact on claude.ai while signed in, your progress is also saved in the Artifact's storage so you can continue on another device. Your account name and picture are shown only to you and are not stored in the game data. Anthropic processes this under its own privacy policy.
Playing on CrazyGames
In the version published on CrazyGames, the platform shows the ads, asks for any consent the law requires and may save your progress to your CrazyGames account. CrazyGames' privacy policy applies to that.
Website hosting
The game's own website is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting. Like any web server, it receives your IP address and basic request details (such as the page requested and your browser type) to deliver the page and protect against abuse. Google processes these server logs under its own terms, and we do not use them to identify you.
Advertising (on the game's own website)
The website can show Google AdSense ads. Google's ad script is not loaded until you agree to ads in the consent window. After you agree, Google and its partners use cookies and similar identifiers, your IP address and browser details to show ads, limit how often you see each one, measure them and prevent fraud. Personalised ads are shown only if you choose them and confirm you are 16 or older; otherwise only non-personalised ads are shown.

- Turn off personalised ads from Google: adssettings.google.com
A browser that sends a Global Privacy Control signal is treated as having refused personalised ads.
Signing in (optional)
On the game's website you can sign in with Google to keep your progress in an account and play on any device. Sign-in uses Google Firebase Authentication. We receive your Google account's name, email address, profile picture and a user ID. Your progress (the same data as on your device) is stored in Google Cloud Firestore under that user ID, where only you can read or change it. Firebase's code loads only when you choose to sign in, or when you were signed in before on that device. We use this information only to run your account; we don't email you or share it. You can sign out at any time, and Your data deletes both the saved progress and the account.
What we don't do
- We use no analytics or tracking tools.
- We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
- We send no emails, newsletters or notifications, even if you have an account.
- The fonts are built into the game file, so no request goes to an outside font server.
Legal basis
Saving your progress on your device, and in your account if you create one, is necessary to provide the game you asked for. Ads and non-essential cookies rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Cookie settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before.
How long data is kept
Data on your device is kept until you delete it. Account data is kept until you delete it on the Your data screen; accounts with no sign-in for 24 months may be deleted. Your cookie choice is kept for 12 months, after which we ask again. Google's cookies are kept according to Google's policies, usually up to 13 months.
Your rights
Under Israel's Protection of Privacy Law, 1981 (including Amendment 13), the EU and UK GDPR and California privacy law, you have the right to access, correct and delete information about you, to receive a copy of it, to restrict or object to its use and to withdraw consent. Because almost all of the data is on your device, you can use these rights directly on the Your data screen: copy everything or delete it. For any other request, write to outbound4k@gmail.com; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority or to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
The game is meant for ages 13 and up. Children under 13 should play only with a parent's permission. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and personalised ads are never shown to anyone who says they are under 16. A parent who believes their child has given us information can contact us at outbound4k@gmail.com.
International transfers
Providers such as Google (hosting and ads) and CrazyGames may process data outside Israel and the EU, using recognised transfer safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Security and changes
The game is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and we keep no personal data on our side. If this policy changes, we will update the date on this page, and we will announce any significant change in the game.
